Project Reflection and Goals
I'm pursuing music education because it's something I could enjoy doing day in and day out. I want to use my talents and my knowledge to help others grow. Not just my future students, but everyone I meet in my life. It's a medium in which I feel confident giving everything in. I wake up in the morning and just know that this is what I want to do. It's a field in which I will never stop learning or growing, and the most influential people in my life have been introduced to me through music. There's something redeeming and worthwhile in everyone, and music is a way to reach those people and help them be the best they can be. I may not be the best musician or educator, and I may never be, but if I'm happy and can give a part of myself away to others that will leave them feeling like they've grown in some way, that's good enough for me.
This project has opened my eyes to many different realms of education and student development that I hope to apply to my teaching. I doubt I will ever quench my thirst for knowledge and music, but listed below are just a handful of goals I hope to achieve.
