Standard #2 - Klezmer Music Lesson and Weekly Journal
This lesson plan and journal entry are evidence of how I may include culturally relevant lessons in my teaching. I also hypothesize in the journal entry various strategies for engaging and challenging individual students throughout a lesson. Something I hope to improve is my implementation of music from various cultures and historical backgrounds, including those that are relevant to the students' personal cultural backgrounds as well as the cultural and historical contexts of the music they are playing.

Standard #2 - Frayer Model
I believe the Frayer Model is a great artifact to include for this standard. The Frayer Model requires students to define words that will help them to better understand content concepts. This is a good tool for English Language Learners (ELL) especially because they can draw pictures instead of words, provide details about the term or concept through characteristics (loud vs. soft, dark vs. bright, high vs. low, etc.), use examples and non-examples to provide clarity, create descriptions in their native language, be used in a group setting, or be used to assess.

Standard #2 - Reading Reflection
I chose this reading reflection of chapter 7 of Dr. Ryan Hourigan's book "Teaching Music to Students with Special Needs." This reflection represents my views on the inclusion of special needs students in performing ensembles and music education classrooms at the middle school level.
